SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– Police on Thursday confiscated P3.4 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and arrested four suspected drug dealers during a buy-bust operation in Olongapo City.
Col. Benjamin Sembrano, Olongapo City director, said the illegal drugs were seized in an alleged drug den in Barangay East Bajac-Bajac.
Sembrano said the seizure was a follow-up operation on a previous buy-bust sting in Caloocan City, where police confiscated more than 100 grams of shabu.
Arrested were Jonalyn Igbus, Reuben Melencio, Nino Roble, and Jemylyn Colong alias Malyn. More than 500 grams were seized from the suspects, who were in the city’s drugs watch list.
In a separate operation, police also arrested three more suspects allegedly involved in the drugs trade in Olongapo City. They were identified as Leonora Colong, Ruben Cawaling, and Lizbeth Colong.
The suspects will be charged with a violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
