DOLE remains open during Holy Week
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will remain open during Holy Week to process applications for assistance from employers adversely affected by the Luzon-wide lockdown, said Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
Under its COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program, Dole would provide a one-time financial support of P5,000 to affected workers in private establishments that had to close down or adopt flexible working schedules due to the quarantine.
DOLE will no longer require the submission of the company payroll with the establishment report; any proof of payment of salaries and wages would do, Nograles said.
