Leyte fugitive caught in Baguio’s Justice Village

BAGUIO CITY — A suspected cop killer, who has been a fugitive from justice for the past three days, was caught in the city’s Justice Village along Marcos Highway on Wednesday (April 8).

Leonilio Medalla, a 47-year-old construction worker, has been implicated in the April 5 killing of Police Staff Sgt. Fernan Canuda, a Leyte policeman who was serving him a warrant of arrest for a murder charge.

Medalla was classified as Leyte province’s sixth most wanted man.
