MANILA, Philippines — The individuals who were spotted sleeping in the platform area of a Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) station in a photo uploaded on Facebook turned out to be security guards of Kaizen Security Agency.

The MRT-3 management, in a statement on Wednesday, said it immediately conducted an investigation to identify the persons caught sleeping in a photo posted on social media on Tuesday.

“Our initial investigation revealed that the persons caught sleeping on the MRT-3 platform area are security guards of the Kaizen Security Agency stationed at the MRT-3 Boni Station,” it said.

According to MRT-3, such action is “prohibited and will not be tolerated, for the safety and comfort of the security personnel.”

The management said it has immediately directed Kaizen to take “appropriate measures” to prevent similar incidents from happening, including the strict compliance to policies on the use of quarters provided for staff accommodation in train stations.

“Further, with this incident, we reiterated to all our personnel, especially those manning the facility during the implementation of the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine, the need to be cautious of their actions, and to religiously follow all rules and regulations enforced by the management to not only avoid this kind of scenario, but for their own well-being,” it added.
