BACOLOD CITY –– Negros Occidental artists have pledged at least 70 art pieces to be sold online to raise funds for the battle to survive the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Artist Charlie Co said money raised in the “Art Heals” fundraising drive would be used to support the Negros hospital frontliners and the art community during the crisis.

At least 50 percent of the funds will go to the Negrense Volunteers for Change to produce personal protective equipment for frontliners in hospitals.

The rest of the 50 percent will benefit local artists, who are coping with the loss of income and opportunities during the enhanced community quarantine period in Negros Occidental.

The online exhibit and the details on how to purchase the art pieces are posted on the Facebook page ArtHeals Fundraising.
