Magnitude 4.5 quake hits Negros Occidental
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.5 quake hit Negros Occidental on Thursday afternoon, the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 2:42 p.m., with its epicenter located at 37 kilometers northwest of Sipalay City in Negros Occidental.

The quake which was of tectonic origin had a depth of 8 kilometers.
Instrumental Intensity III was recorded in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental while Intensity II was recorded in Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Phivolcs said no damage and aftershocks are expected following the quake.
