POLANGUI, Albay –– As the number of positive coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases rose to seven in Albay province, frontliners on the streets became stricter beginning Thursday with the disinfection procedures at the quarantine checkpoints.

The Department of Health Bicol recorded on Wednesday night seven persons positive of COVID-19 in Albay and three in Camarines Sur.

At the entrance and exit points of this town, the military and police have become more serious in disinfecting every vehicle that goes through the checkpoints.

Drivers are obliged to step out of their vehicle and go through body spraying.

Residents who enter the municipality also have to submit to foot baths and body spraying with disinfectants before they are allowed inside the premises.
