COVID-19 patient in Legazpi City transferred to hospital
LEGAZPI CITY –– The American citizen who tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in this city was admitted to a hospital for quarantine.
Mayor Noel Rosal said the patient was transferred to the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The 52-year-old patient tagged as PH766 arrived in the city on March 8.
He had a check-up at the BRTTH on March 16 due to coughing. He was discharged for home quarantine the following day, after a swab test.
Antonio Ludovice, chief of Albay provincial health office, said that the patient had his second throat swab test last Saturday and now asymptomatic.
His Filipina girlfriend, also a PUI, was also quarantined at the BRTTH, Ludovice said.

Article continues after this advertisementRosal has also ordered a total lockdown in Barangays Ilawod West and Ilawod for contact tracing and disinfection.
The lockdown order in Ilawod was lifted at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
The other two COVID-19 patients in the towns of Guinobatan and Bacacay were still on home quarantine.
