QC COVID-19 cases now at 151; death toll at 27
MANILA, Philippines — The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Quezon City (QC) has soared to 151 as of March 31 after the city recorded 11 new cases.
On Wednesday morning, the QC government said the new cases came from barangays Bahay Toro, Lourdes, Sto. Cristo, Batasan Hills, Holy Spirit, Loyola Heights, San Roque, San Agustin, Pasong Tamo, and Tandang Sora.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the city from COVID-19 also rose to 27 with the addition of one fatality. One COVID-19 patient was also able to recover from the illness, bringing the total to 11.
A total of 69 barangays in the city are now being affected by COVID-19. Of this number, 18 are now under extreme enhanced community quarantine.
At present, the Philippines has recorded 2,084 COVID-19 cases, with 88 deaths and 49 recoveries.
