MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) will soon deport an overstaying Kuwaiti national who was recently arrested in Mindanao.
BI acting intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. identified the alien as 50-year-old Faisal Abdullah Almansour, who is now detained at the BI district office in Davao City pending deportation proceedings.
Almansour was arrested by BI operatives at his home in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, on the order of BI Commissioner Jaime Morente.
The Kuwaiti was the subject of numerous complaints from residents in the area.
“He will thus undergo deportation proceedings for being an undocumented and overstaying alien,” Manahan said.
Almansour’s travel record showed he arrived in the country as tourist on June 12, 2012.
