Sorsogon town enforces ‘no mask, no entry’ in public places

LEGAZPI CITY –– The local government of Casiguran town in Sorsogon has mandated all residents to wear face masks in all public places as protection against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In an executive order signed on Tuesday, Mayor Edwin Hamor said even if the individual has a quarantine pass, he or she would not be allowed to go out of the residence and be in market, park, government buildings, and other public places without a mask.

A quarantine pass is given to a member of a family to buy basic commodities and medicine.

Hamor said promoting the use of protective equipment is one of their preventive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
