Decontaminate medical equipment, items before disposal, Masbate City orders

LEGAZPI CITY –– The city government of Masbate has required all offices to decontaminate all medical equipment and items before disposal as a preventive measure against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In an executive order signed on Tuesday, Mayor Rowena Tuason said all personal protective equipment, face masks, and gloves must be decontaminated first by establishments, clinics, public markets, households, and other offices before the collection of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro).

Tuason has directed the Cenro to devise a plan on proper disposal of the said equipment.

The City Health Office was also tasked to conduct an information campaign.
