MANILA, Philippines – Over 20 people were reported injured during the procession for the Black Nazarene, which started early Monday, a spokesman for the Philippine National Police said.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that these devotees sustained minor injuries.

He said that the estimated three million devotees continued to move slowly towards Quiapo Church where the statue of the Black Christ would be placed.

Police said earlier in the day that the Black Nazarene may arrive in Quiapo before dawn of Tuesday.
