Did You Know: 8,170 firms are in health, social work sector

The final results of the 2016 Annual Survey of the Philippine Business and Industry said there were 8,170 firms in the human health and social work activities sector.

This includes trained medical professionals in hospitals and other facilities, over residential care activities that still involve a degree of health care activities, to social work activities without health care professionals.

The top industries in terms of number of firms were private medical activities (41.2 percent), private dental and laboratory services (19.6 percent), and private general hospitals activities (14.1 percent).
