MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Las Piñas on Sunday announced that three more coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases were recorded in the area, bringing the total to 20.
Previously, Las Piñas City had 17 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The local government added in its Facebook post that of the 20 cases, three people have recovered from the viral disease.
The Las Piñas LGU, meanwhile, stated that it was monitoring 23 persons under investigation (PUI), as well as 389 persons under monitoring (PUM).
A person is considered considered a PUI if he/she has history of travel to a country where local transmission of COVID-19 was recorded and is symptomatic, meaning he/she has signs of respiratory illness, dry cough or fever.
Meanwhile, a PUM is someone who has history of travel, but is asymptomatic.
The Department of Health previously reported that there are now 1,075 COVID-19 cases in the country, of which 68 died while 35 recovered.
