Faces of the News: Charles, Prince of Wales

/ 05:10 AM March 29, 2020

The day after Charles, Prince of Wales, was found positive for COVID-19, he made his first video appearance in Instagram’s “Clap for our Carers” campaign to thank the United Kingdom National Health Service for its work during the pandemic that has so far affected almost 15,000 in the United Kingdom.

Dressed in an open-necked shirt and jacket, the 71-year-old heir to the British throne did not display any symptom of the disease.

His official residence, Clarence House in London, announced that he had set up a virtual office in Birkhall that allows him to continue working while in isolation.

Among his key concerns are the people who live and work in the Duchy of Cornwall, a 550-square-kilometer estate in southwestern England that he inherited when his mother Elizabeth became queen of England in 1952.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also tested positive for the virus.
