MANILA, Philippines — The processing and release of the results of the University of the Philippines College Admissions Test (UPCAT) had been postponed to give consideration to its workers and students affected by the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, the university said Saturday.

In a statement, the UP Office of Admissions said the UPCAT results were supposed to be published on March 30, but it was ordered postponed as UPCAT applicants will have different levels of access to online results in light of the ongoing quarantine.

The university also suspended UPCAT processing to give way for the welfare of the large team of employees working on the pre-release validation of UPCAT results, who live in Metro Manila during the quarantine period.

The enhanced community quarantine has been ongoing since March 17 and will be in effect until April 13. It was imposed due to the increasing number of coronavirus disease cases.
