LEGAZPI CITY — Manito town in Albay has closed all borders after the confirmation of two coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the province.
In an advisory, Mayor Joshua Mari Daep said the lockdown effective Saturday, would restrict non-residents from entering the territorial jurisdiction of the town except the cargoes and frontliners provided they undergo strict sanitation.
The issuance of pass card that allows residents to go outside the town’s premises would be suspended for 48 hours, except for government personnel assigned in the relief operations and persons with emergency cases.
Only one member of a family would be allowed to go out to buy necessities.
Daep also said that the government would buy all agriculture and food products of local suppliers. No products would be transported outside the town.
