SAN PABLO, Isabela — A 3.9-magnitude earthquake jolted the coastal town of Maconacon in this province on Saturday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake struck 27 kilometers northeast of Maconacon around 3:23 p.m.
It was also felt in mainland Isabela and in Tuguegarao City.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin with 31-kilometer depth. No damages were reported.
