Man, 36, is 2nd COVID-19 positive case in Occidental Mindoro
CITY OF CALAPAN — The second case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Occidental Mindoro is a 36-year-old man, according to a post on social media by the provincial government Saturday.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) citing results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, said the patient was tagged as person under investigation (PUI) no. 103.
The PHO also said he has no travel history outside the province. He is admitted at the St. Martin Mission Hospital in Sablayan town since March 19.
“At present, he is afebrile and clinically improving,” said the post.
On Friday, Dr. Enid Asuncion, Sablayan health officer, announced via live Facebook streaming, that an 84-year-old man also tested positive for COVID-19. He died at San Jose District Hospital on March 22, on the same day that he was brought there.
