2 Albay COVID-19 patients to undergo another swab test
LEGAZPI CITY –– Health officials in the Bicol will get swab samples from two patients in Albay, who tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Antonio Ludovice, chief of provincial health office, said a medical team would visit the patients in their homes to get throat swab samples to check their status.
The first swab tests done on March 17 had the results released on March 27.
“Both are asymptomatic and still on home quarantine,” Ludovice said.
Meanwhile, Ludovice has clarified that based on the information from the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) in Legazpi City, PH766 is a 52-year-old American citizen who arrived in Legazpi City on March 8, and went for medical consultation at the BRTTH on March 16 due to coughing.
He was asked to go on home quarantine on March 17 after the swab test.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 50-year-old native of Bacacay town branded as PH765 arrived on March 13 from Metro Manila and went for a consultation at the BRTTH on March 16. He was also discharged for home quarantine on March 18.
