Los Baños, Laguna installs disinfection showers for vehicles
LOS BAÑOS, Laguna –– Disinfection shower-spraying pipes were installed Friday by the Los Baños municipal government with the help of Laguna Water District Aquatech Resources Corporation at the boundary of the town and Calamba City for incoming vehicles as the entire Luzon continues to be under enhanced community quarantine due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) concerns.
A post by the municipal government on social media said the disinfection solution is composed of water and benzalkonium chloride, a non-corrosive chemical.
The solution will be sprayed like rainwater on all incoming vehicles.
However, no vehicle-disinfection device is installed on the other side of town on the boundary of Bay, where vehicles coming from the east side of the province would enter.
