UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock is COVID-19 postive

LONDON — British Health Secretary Matt Hancock has tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Hancock has been at the forefront of Britain’s response to the outbreak.

This news came the same day Prime Minister Boris Johnson was confirmed to have COVID-19.

So far, 11,658 people in Britain have been confirmed infected with COVID-19 as 578 have died.

The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 a pandemic since it already infected more than 596, 835 people worldwide and killed more than 27,350 as of March 28. On the other hand, over 133,350 people have recovered so far from the disease.
