Tarlac COVID cases rise to 4

TARLAC CITY –– The Research Institute on Tropical Medicine on Friday (March 27) confirmed two more patients infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), raising the number of cases in Tarlac province to four.

A 28-year-old man from Capas town and a 59-year-old man from Bulacan province have been admitted at a private hospital, said Governor Susan Yap.

Yap scheduled a province-wide “total lockdown” on Sunday (March 29) at 12:01 am.

Tests showed that four patients under investigation (PUI), who died recently, were not infected with the virus. But RITM has not yet completed the confirmatory tests for six other PUI fatalities.

Tests cleared 12 more PUIs. Tarlac province has 17,453 persons under monitoring, who are all under home quarantine.
