272 quarantine violators nabbed in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY –– Some 272 people in Bicol were arrested for violating the enhanced community quarantine protocols to ward off the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Brigadier General Anthony Alcañeses, Bicol police chief, said the 272 people were caught this week for violating guidelines on curfew hours and resisting and evading police checkpoints.

Sorsogon province has the highest number of violators with 90, followed by Catanduanes with 60, Masbate with 37, Albay with 31, Camarines Norte with 29, Camarines Sur with 14, and Naga City with three apprehensions.
