Camarines Norte town marks PUMs with indelible ink

LEGAZPI CITY –– The local government of Jose Panganiban town in Camarines Norte province has required all persons under monitoring (PUMs) for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to have indelible ink marked on their forefingers to strictly enforce the mandatory 14-day home quarantine.

Mayor Ariel Non, in an executive order, said this would help the barangay officials and ordinary residents to identify the persons who should not go out of their homes.

The barangay health and emergency response team and officials were tasked to put the indelible ink on the PUMs.

All residents were encouraged to report violators of the mandatory home quarantine.

PUMs who finished the quarantine period would be given a medical certificate, and would no longer be required to have indelible markings.
