CAMP GENERAL ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan –– A driver for ride-sharing company was arrested for selling overpriced alcohol during a police operation in Marilao town on Wednesday (March 25).

Mark Marvin Dalawis, a 24-year-old resident of Quezon City, sold 18 containers of isopropyl alcohol for P665 each bottle to a government agent and was immediately detained by the Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

The suggested retail price for the product is between P500 and P550 as Luzon rides out a month-long quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Also on Wednesday in Calumpit town, Ma. Monica Ann Victoria, 34, owner of the JCM wholesale store in Barangay Palembang was nabbed after selling a liter of isopropyl alcohol for P230 without the proper label and a tag price to a police operative.

Victoria offered to sell 20 bottles. The police confiscated 70 plastic bottles from her.
