MANILA, Philippines — A personnel under Supreme CourtAssociate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier has tested positive for COVID-19, Public Information Chief and Supreme Court Spokesperson Atty. Brian Keith Hosaka said Thursday.
“We immediately informed and got in touch with all court personnel who may have had contact with the said staff of Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier,” Hosaka said.
“So far, they are all in okay and in good health,” he added.
In a statement from the office of Justice Lazaro-Javier, the staffer has no travel history and had a fever that persisted from March 12 to 18. She last reported to work last March 12 but left the office at noon while the office was sanitized a day later.
The staffer got tested on March 19 and the result came out positive on March 24 as per the City Health Office of Bacoor in Cavite.
Contact tracing is ongoing as the staffer regularly takes Supreme Court Bus No. 8 to and from work.
“All our staff have been observing proper health and hygiene measures and self-quarantine since CJs (Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta) announcement regarding modified work schedules. We are also in constant communication with OAS (Office of Administrative Services) for updates and contact tracing,” read the statement.
