Scattered rains in Philippines Monday–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The country will experience scattered rains as a tail-end of a cold front affecting Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas and an existing wind convergence prevails over Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

In its 24-hour weather forecast, Pagasa said that the whole country wouuld have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms.

Skies will become cloudy with widespread rains over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Southern Luzon and the Eastern section of Central Luzon.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the Northeast and East over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough,” the state-run weather bureau said.
