Two carnapping suspects nabbed

TWO men were arrested on suspicion that they were involved in carnapping activities in Mandaue City.

Wilfredo Alinsug, 34, and Aureliano ‘Jun Awe’ Senierpida, 51, were arrested in their respective houses in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City, last Saturday afternoon.

The two men denied the accusations hurled against them.

Insp. Wilson Abot, chief of the Opao police precinct, Alinsug and Senierpida were placed under surveillance after they received reports that they were allegedly involved in carnapping activities.

During the operation, police brought a man whose motorcycle was stolen by two men at the foot of the Marcelo B. Fernan Bridge last Jan. 4.
