GUINOBATAN, Albay –– Nine construction workers from Albay were quarantined in Catanduanes after they were not allowed to board the ship back to their home province.
Arnulfo Bualoy, a resident of Tabaco City, said he, with eight others, were working in Catanduanes and were supposed to extend their contract when the lockdown due to COVID-19 happened.
However, the extension did not push through as there was a lack of resources and materials coming from the mainland.
They are now staying at the Catanduanes State University barracks with the provincial government providing them relief goods.
Bualoy appealed to Tabaco City mayor Krisel Lagman-Luistro for help as they still have no work to support their families.
