DON BOSCO Technology Center (DBTC) 4 and Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) posted impressive wins last Saturday in the Players 10 category of the 14th Aboitiz Football Cup held at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Subangdaku Mandaue City.
DBTC 4 exploded with 21 points while conceding no goals to Center for International Education (CIE) 1 while the Magis Eagles had a rout of their own against Child Learning Foundation (CLF), 19-0.
Other matches in the category saw Bright Academy winning via default against Mactan Air Base Elementary School (MABES), Subangdaku Football Club (SFC) edging Holy Infant School (HIS), 1-0, and DBTC 5 earning a 2-0 win when its sister school DBTC 2 defaulted in the match.
In the Players 6, San Roque Football Club (SRFC), Children’s Paradise Montessori School (CPMS), Bright Minds Active Learning Village (BMALV) and Canduman Dedon all won their matches.
SRFC and CPMS won via default respectively against Bright Academy B and MABES. BMALV, for its part, demolished Bright Academy A, 4-0, while Canduman edged DBTC, 1-0.
The remaining match in the category ended in a 3-all draw between Giuseppe FC and the Magis Eagles.
Giuseppe FC had better luck in the Players 8 as it surged past Canduman, 4-2. Other matches had Springdale surviving CPMS, 1-0, and DBTC A squeaking past DBTC C, 3-2.
Canduman came back in the Boys 12 with an 8-0 thrashing of St. Augustine International School (SAIS) FC while Bright Academy blanked DBTC 2, 4-0. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
