PUM, woman with shabu nabbed in Camarines Sur

LEGAZPI CITY –– A 30-year-old man tagged as a person under monitoring (PUM) for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and a woman with illegal drugs were arrested in Camarines Sur on Tuesday.

Captain Julius Prima, Lagonoy town police chief, said village watchmen arrested Jun Jun Alvarez, who was supposed to be on self-quarantine while walking outside Barangay San Sebastian around 7 p.m.

Prima said Alvarez was tagged as a PUM after arriving from Pasig City last week.

In Iriga City, Elvira Sanfuego, 26, was arrested after throwing a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) at a checkpoint in Barangay San Jose around 1:30 p.m.

Police said she was a passenger of a tricycle flagged down by the barangay officials and watchmen in front of their hall.
