Pagasa’s Wednesday weather forecast: Fair weather nationwide

MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather is expected across the country even as the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, continue to affect the southern parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

In a weather update, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Ana Clauren said the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley will experience fair weather with a slight chance of rain.

In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, hot and humid weather is expected with a chance of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms later in the afternoon or evening.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from a low of 25 degrees Celsius to a high of 33 degrees Celsius.

In the Visayas, hot and humid weather is also expected with a chance of scattered rain showers later in the afternoon or evening.

Metro Cebu, according to Pagasa, will have a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, temperature in Iloilo City and Bacolod City will range from a low of 26 degrees Celsius to a high of 33 degrees Celsius.

Mindanao will have generally weather with a chance of scattered rain showers later in the afternoon and evening, Pagasa said.

The state weather bureau is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA), which was last spotted 970 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del sur.

Pagasa said the LPA is not expected to develop into a storm but may bring rains in the eastern section of Mindanao in the coming days.

No gale warning was raised by Pagasa.

The state weather bureau said the whole archipelago will have light to moderate east northeast winds and slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal waters.
