Pampanga health chief dies after showing COVID-19 symptoms

Dr. Marcelo Jaochico, provincial health chief of Pampanga, has died two weeks after showing symptoms of COVID-19, the provincial capitol announced on Tuesday (March 24) evening.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—Dr. Marcelo Jaochico, provincial health chief of Pampanga, has died two weeks after showing symptoms of COVID-19, the provincial capitol announced on Tuesday (March 24) evening.

Joachico died of cardiac arrest at 6:37 p.m.

The Department of Health has yet to release the result of tests to determine if the doctor was negative or positive for COVID-19.
