LEGAZPI CITY –– Sorsogon province will enforce a 24-hour curfew prohibiting those 15 years old and below to roam the streets and public places in the province.

Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero signed the ordinance in line with the Duterte administration’s enhanced community quarantine in Luzon to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease in the country.

Under the Sorsogon ordinance, any minor, who violates the curfew, would be escorted home, and parents or guardians would be reprimanded if they are found negligent and remiss of their parental duties.

The incident will also be reported to the school, where the minor is enrolled, for community service.

Escudero directed the police, social welfare employees, and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to implement the ordinance.
