Brothers yield P13,300 in meth, arrested in Lucena

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two brothers, both in their 60s, in a buy-bust operation here early on Tuesday (March 24).

Local police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents caught Gregorio, 64, and his younger brother Manasseh, 63, after they sold shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer, Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report.

Authorities seized seven plastic sachets of shabu worth P13,300 in the street market.

Police tagged Gregorio among those on the list of street-level drug pushers, while his brother was identified as a neophyte in the local drug trade.

The suspects were detained at the city jail and are facing charges of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
