LEGAZPI CITY –– The provincial government of Camarines Norte has extended the curfew to 12 hours to control the movement of all the residents to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In an executive order, Governor Edgardo Tallado said that from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. under the enhanced community quarantine, the new curfew would be 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The liquor ban would also be adjusted to the new scheme.
Colonel Marlon Tejada, Camarines Norte police chief, said since the implementation of the curfew hours, at least 60 violators have been arrested in different towns.
“On the first day of implementation, we just warned them. But after the wide dissemination of the order, we have immediately filed charges to violators,” he said.
