Albay implements liquor ban
LEGAZPI CITY –– A liquor ban will be enforced by the Interagency Task Force (IATF), reinforcing the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) program in Albay province on Tuesday.
Governor Al Francis Bichara made this additional guideline in the executive order placing the entire province in total lockdown, a precautionary measure to prevent and control the spread of the dreaded coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which has affected many parts of the country.
The “liquor ban” prohibits residents to buy; and establishments to sell liquors, alcoholic beverages, coconut wines, other nature wines and the like that cause intoxication.
The liquor ban would take effect on Tuesday and remain until lifted.
Other additional guidelines include the setting up of satellite markets in villages aimed to decongest public markets in various towns and cities of the province; wearing of face masks for those who are out of their homes, including those who are working; and strictly observe “social distancing.”
