P6-M medical supplies seized in police raids

Philippine National Police operatives over the weekend seized nearly P6-million worth of medical supplies allegedly being sold at steep prices by hoarders. The raids conducted from March 20 to 22 nationwide led to the arrest of 34 persons, including four members of a gang and a trader who allegedly sold and yielded P1.6-million worth of overpriced face masks. PNP criminal investigation and detection group personnel arrested in an entrapment operation eight persons in Tondo, Manila and seized face masks which the group allegedly sold for P2,500 a box.—Jeannette I.
