Albay town brings hand washing closer to residents
LEGAZPI CITY—The municipal government of Camalig has installed a hand washing station in front of the public market to contain novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) which health experts said could be prevented from spreading by regular washing of hands among other measures.
Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr. said market goers would be required to wash their hands with soap first before being allowed inside the market.
Baldo said the municipal government partnered with the Camalig Water District to promote essential sanitary practices to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.
He also advised residents to wear protective masks when going out of their houses to buy goods.
