Healthcare workers need not secure accreditation ID during quarantine period

MANILA, Philippines — Healthcare workers do not need to acquire accreditation IDs from the Department of Health (DOH) while the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine is in place due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis.

Their Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) IDs or IDs from their respective hospitals are already enough proof, Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases spokesperson and Cabinet secretary Karlo Nograles clarified on Monday.

“All health workers hindi na po kailangan kumuha ng accreditation IDs mula sa Department of Health,” Nograles said in a press briefing.

(All health workers do no need to get accreditation IDs from the Department of Health.)

“Sapat na po ang inyong PRC ID o di kaya yung ID ng inyong hospital o health establishments,” he added.

(Your PRC ID or ID from which hospital or health establishments you work for is already enough.)

All those exempted from the home quarantine measures must have accreditation IDs, the IATF earlier said. The period of issuance is until March 26.

The enhanced community quarantine in Luzon will be in effect until midnight of April 13.

Under this measure, a strict home quarantine is enforced, mass transportation is suspended and mass gatherings are canceled to contain the spread of COVID-19.
