Laguna confirms second coronavirus case
MANILA, Philippines —The province of Laguna reported its second confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) case after the city government of Santa Rosa confirmed that a resident tested positive for the viral illness.
The province recorded its first positive case of the disease on March 15. The patient is also from Santa Rosa.
In a Facebook post Saturday evening, the Santa Rosa City government said that SR Patient-2 is a resident of a subdivision in Barangay Macabling.
It added that contact tracing is now being undertaken by the city government and health officials.
“Home Quarantine will be STRICTLY implemented in all barangays,” it further said.
