Face masks, thermal scanners worth P10M seized

MANILA, Philippines — Over 7,600 pieces of face masks and 1,360 thermal scanners worth P10 million were seized on Friday from a medical supplies stores in Manila for overpricing.

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation raided the store along Rizal Avenue in Santa Cruz, Manila, which sold thermal scanners for P8,000, or eight times the standard retail price.

Owner Rudy Miranda will be charged with violation of the Price Act.

NBI agents also raided Professional Skin Care Formula by Dr. Alvin for selling overpriced alcohol.
