MANILA, Philippines — Electricity consumers can expect monthly bills to drop by four centavos per kilowatt-hour after the Energy Regulatory Commission suspended the collection of Feed-In Tariff Allowance (FIT-All) for the next billing cycle amid the virus scare.
The FIT-All mechanism was meant to encourage investments in renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydro.
The FIT-All is collected from all electricity users through distribution utilities, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines, and retail electricity suppliers.
The suspension means a reduction of P8 for a household consuming 200 kWh.
