“Our Medical Director has just received word from DOH that the Congressional staff who passed away less than an hour ago tested positive for COVID-19,” House Secretary-General Jose Luis Montales said.

As earlier reported, the staff member, who was not identified, was 65 years old, and had no travel history nor any contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

The patient also had pre-existing medical conditions.
