Number of COVID-19 cases in QC rises to 44
MANILA, Philippines — The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Quezon City jumped to 44 on Saturday, the city government has reported.
Data provided by Quezon City Epidemiology Head Dr. Rolly Cruz showed that the new cases were recorded from Barangay Tatalon, Barangay Masagana, Barangay Bungad and Barangay Ramon Magsaysay.
Of the 44 cases, two patients have died while five have recovered.

Previously, the Quezon City government recorded 40 COVID-19 cases in the city.
The Philippines, so far, has 230 confirmed cases of COVID-19 including 18 deaths.
Quezon City Joy Belmonte earlier placed the city under a state of calamity to allow local officials to “utilize a portion of its quick-response funds.”
