MANILA, Philippines — Has the Facebook page Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa) deputy administrator Mocha Uson been disabled?
As of Friday, Uson’s famed “Mocha Uson Blog” Facebook page became unsearchable on the social media site.
Her page was known to have amassed over five million followers.
Hours before, netizens have been rooting for the mass reporting of her page at 8 p.m.
It was not clear, however, if Uson’s page has been disabled due to the number of reports received or it was deactivated.
On Twitter, meanwhile, the hashtag #MochaUsonisOverParty then became the number one trending topic in the Philippines.
The Owwa administrator has been in hot water lately after her page posted criticisms of Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto, who urged the government to allow the use of tricycles to ferry health workers fighting the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.
Uson later washed hands, saying that the criticism posted was not by her but by another blogger, Banat By, who used her page.
Before becoming a public official, Uson rose to fame as a blogger who was a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte.
