MANILA, Philippines — Muntinlupa City Hall workers will receive their end of month salary early because of the enhanced community quarantine, the local government announced on Friday.
In a statement, Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi ordered to advance the end of month pay to allow city hall employees to purchase basic needs during the quarantine period.
“The local government releases early salaries to help employees tide over COVID-19 crisis and help them buy basic commodities amid enhanced community quarantine,” Fresnedi said.
Aside from this, the local government also delivered food packs to residents in every village to ensure social distancing and reduce the risk of transmission of coronavirus disease.
Muntinlupa City has four confirmed cases of the infectious disease which is 1.8 percent of the total cases of COVID-19 in the country, based on Department of Health’s records.
