/ 05:36 AM March 20, 2020

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Thursday disclosed that he had gone into self-quarantine while awaiting test results to determine if he had contracted the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Duque, 63, said he took the test while remaining asymptomatic. The results are expected in three to four days.

He said he came into contact with a director at the Department of Health (DOH) who later tested positive for the virus.
